Day 19: Thursday // January 25
Redland Hills launched on January 26, 2014. That means today is the last day of the first decade of our church’s story. As we close one decade and step into the next, it is appropriate we are thanking God by looking back and looking ahead.
Morning Prayer Matthew 6:16-18
Begin today by offering any hunger you may experience to the Lord. Our purpose is to draw near to him. Seek to live out the heart of these verses by not drawing the attention or praise of people and nullify your heavenly reward. Let hunger be a way to remind you to pray.
Spend some time thanking God throughout the morning for the first decade of the life of this church. Praise him for salvations, ministry impact, services performed for others, and your own breakthrough that spurred your own spiritual growth. Scroll through the church directory (available via the church website) and thank God for specific people who have had an impact on you. Even if you have been with us for only a short time, what are you grateful for?
As we prepare to enter the second decade of Redland Hills Church, what are you dreaming about for the kingdom? What are you longing for the Lord to do in this church and community? The Lord invites us to ask him for big things! Don’t hesitate to offer to him your hopes and desires for a movement of the Holy Spirit. Make a list of things that you are petitioning to God. Play a worship song to praise him, and thank him in advance for answering your prayers and for the victories he will give.
Prayer gathering at 6 PM in the Worship Center
Tonight we will assemble for prayers, worship, and to break the fast with communion.
