Seeking God With Purpose
Practices that help us seek the heart of God. January 2022
We can listen to, or be given some really bad advice sometimes. In this message you will hear about how it matters who you listen to. Even when ignorance or pride gets in the way we can seek God’s wisdom through His word, or from those in our spiritual community.
Many of us don’t think we have great memories, but there is something powerful about committing God’s word to memory for our transformation. Coming from the Psalms, Pastor Wes provides some practical help to hide scripture away in your heart.
Many of us find ways to avoid being alone. But moments of solitude can be rich times of being fed by God. Student Pastor, Taylor Housel, looks at how Jesus sought out times alone with his Father and how you can purposefully pursue the same.
Waiting can be frustrating when it doesn’t meet our expectations. Waiting isn’t “wasted time,” sometimes, God uses it as a tool. When we look at waiting with a spirit of gratitude it changes the way we wait.
Our social media may tell us we have many friends. But everyone can’t have the same access to what’s going on in our lives. Following the example of Jesus, you need 1 or 2 people in your life who are a spiritual friend. In these kinds of friendships God speaks to us and grows us.
