Hold On To Jesus
Guest speaker Dylan Kirkland closes the series with an impactful message on how you can’t outrun God’s forgiveness.
No one likes waiting, especially when we have no defined time of how long that will be. In the text for this message, Jesus encourages his disciples as he reads them for their season of waiting. They will need every word.
The world seems full of injustices and moments when it seems irreparably broken. It would be easy to lose hope or live in bitterness. But Jesus followers are called to live with a different perspective that doesn’t give up.
Some of the most challenging moments of following Jesus are set in relationships. When a relationship falls apart, do you grab a hammer or an eraser?
Let’s just say it, following Jesus can be hard at times. How do we handle those difficult moments?
Are there moments when you feel you are living in a world where you can’t see the way forward? In those moments of darkness we wish we had someone to take us by the hand and lead us forward. In our text today Jesus radically transforms a man’s life who is blind because the man refused to let Jesus pass him by. His pain is the very thing that leads him to cling to Jesus.
What do you need to take someone at their word? In the message we look at a dad who was desperate for help and all he had was the word of Jesus. Maybe that is all you need too.
Faith, even mixed with doubt, unleashes the power of God. Jesus doesn’t need bullet-proof faith to work miracles, but he does need some expression of faith in him, however small it may be. If you are struggling or clinging to faith, don’t give up. Hold on to Jesus!
