On May 4, 2019 our church will release an army of compassion throughout our area. We have a variety of projects that need helping hands. We invite you to participate by signing up in advance for a project. Your team lead will contact you with specifics prior to Serve Day.

Camp Hope
Foster children are often separated from their siblings. Camp Hope is dedicated to providing a haven for children, reuniting their siblings who are separated in foster homes. We will serve these children and foster families by being “Camp Counselors” for the day at Camp Chandler, and will give kids a day filled with fun activities. kidstolove.org Leader: Julie Dapprich
Single/Military Moms
Many moms that face deployment of their husband have significant needs. With a lack of family nearby, they sometimes could use an extra dose of love. This group will allow moms a little respite by keeping the kids for a few hours. Others will have a few projects that need completing around their homes. Leaders: Erin Hayes and Candace Blowers
Adopt a Mile
Trash can easily make a beautiful community look less than inviting. This group will be picking up litter along a mile of Rifle Range road that Redland Hills has officially adopted. This will be a family friendly project easy for most ages. Leader: Amanda Gunn
Tallassee Police Department
This project will serve the men and women who are there for us. We will be painting and doing some improvements around the police station. Leaders: Caleb & Kelli Poole
Wetumpka Nursing Home
On May 4, we will gather at 2pm to deliver handmade cards to the residents and share a brief visit. Several weeks in advance we will have a card making party! As needed, the cards can be completed at home. Kids are welcome if they bring an adult to assist them. Leader: Erin Caskey
Community blood drive
We’ll be hosting a blood drive in our building on Saturday, May 4 from 10 am to 3 PM. Not only can you give blood, you can assist with recruiting and organizing others to provide life. To register to give blood, click here and enter “36093” in the ZIP code. Leaders: Doug Vogel & Jim Owen
