Saturday, Sept 3 will be a day of family fun on the farm! Phillip & Lynsey Neighbors will be hosting the entire RHC family at their Coosa County land on Hatchet Creek (1 hour north of Wetumpka just off 231). We’ll provide BBQ and some sides. Each family should bring snacks for the day and a cooler with your drinks. You can bring kayaks/canoes along with fishing poles. You can also swim as well. There will be battle ball, Giant Connect 4, corn hole, and other family games. We advise bringing a lawn chair to enjoy the shade. It will be a fantastic time to get to know our growing church family. The event will be down a gravel road and require a small creek crossing. SUV’s or trucks are recommended. If you have a low riding car, we will have a place to park and pick you up to cross the creek.
Detailed directions: Head north on US Highway 231 from Wetumpka. You will come to a 4-way stop in Rockford. From the 4-way stop you will continue north on US Highway 231 for approximately 8 miles. You will turn right onto Coosa County Road 49 north. You will take an immediate right onto Rolling Mountain Road. Follow Rolling Mountain Road for approximately 3/4 of a mile and it will turn into a gravel roadway. You will enter through a gate. You will continue to follow the gravel roadway alongside the power line. The gravel roadway will split. There will be a sign showing Rolling Mountain to the right and Cross Creek to the left. Stay left toward Cross Creek and you will arrive shortly. Redland Hills signs will be at turns to assist.
